Now I'm not saying that I roll around in body that could be compared conventionally to a precision tuned race car, but as far as fuel equaling performance is concerned, you have to admit that there is a wide range of positive and negative effects that out food contributes to.  Food is our fuel. We need super meals, like high octane race fuel that contains the energy that we need to work optimally. Food is also culture. Preparing and enjoying the fruits of your labor with friends and family is great, it is also not always the healthiest or individually tailored to be the best nutrient dense combinations of ingredients that will elevate you to your highest human potentials. Cooking was the latest and greatest way of getting calories and nutrients into your diet and allowed for a great many advances in the human function and form, such as increased cerebral capacity and longer lifespans. This is great but it can't be the end. There are diets that today don't even contain a basic level of calories to to get through the day without damage to the body, let alone some terrible toxins and allergens that often come with them. A guided solution to individualized nutritional needs to optimize the user is what I believe the next step to be, and here will be my search for it.

For almost my entire life I had been given some form or multi vitamin, breakfast shake, whole fruit smoothie, and other supplements that my picky little kid diet clearly lacked. I had lived entirely on Ensure shakes, Gatorade and water for up to 6 months at a time. Many cleanses throughout my life and crazy food experiments like a week of bacon and beer. Adopting unusual ways of eating and obtaining calories is right up my alley but the formulation of a completely custom mix of pure vitamin and calorie ingredients evaded me for years.

I also began to see that after many years in the foodservice industry there is an increasing amount of waste that is just a part of life here in the developed world. It has gotten out of hand and making the choice to stop contributing to it is me doing my little part.

100% RDA is the first goal, but where did they get these numbers? 100% personally optimized is the next goal that will require some nutrition panels and blood work plus careful ingredient selection adherence to the plan. Enter "Soylent DIY" and the personalized complete nutrition program. I did not create it but I will put it to the test. I will start here and with a combination of various user submitted guides and metrics as I seek to have as much superhuman nutrient levels as I can.

Late stage in the program I see a world where new parts will be needed to go further and will be commonplace. Bionic super arms and legs are getting better everyday, exo-suits and wearable tech, implantable tech for hearing and vision, all are making great strides, and with 3D printing showing great promise with organ replacement, my long time fantasy of cyborgs and beyond is real and I want it. Given that we can expect to work and be economically viable for around 50 years at current mortality rates, at the US average of $54,000 a year, your body is expected to earn you $2.7 million over your lifetime. This is all with the ever degrading average diet of current Americans. There is much to gained from better performance in the workplace so shouldn't you make sure that you squeeze all the performance out of yourself that you can. Plus to get all those sweet cybernetic upgrades you have to survive until they are available. What can I say, I'm a sci-fi nut and all around weird kid :)
